I want to discuss the Title IX violations the UC has had against pro-Palestine speech, specifically regarding SR 25/26-058. I've worked a lot with the regents' policy about not using class time for political protest. If we don't stand up now, there will be no time to stand up. I urge you to vote in favor of SR 25/26-058.
I support resolution 58. It sends a message that the university is willing to silence speech only if it does not align with their views. I urge you to pass this resolution.
I hope you vote yes on SR 25/26-058. Your presence here is a valuable privilege. You are not safe. Free Palestine.
I am here to support bill 058. Please vote yes and use your privilege to make the campus a better place.
No other lecturer in the CS department had the guts to speak up like him. Who can measure up to the ethics that Peyrin Kao actually embodies? Peyrin Kao speaks up for the student body and the Muslim students on campus.
I express myself in what I choose to be and what I represent. By supporting this resolution on freedom of speech and collective deliberation, you will be supporting me and others like me.
I'm glad that you all came out to speak.
Thank you to everyone who helped me write this bill. I think it is very important.
I wanted to encourage folks to come out to the chancellor's meeting. I want to commend everyone's passion with this bill. It is really important for us as leaders to step outside ourselves and see how we can leverage our position to advocate for others.
