This resolution demands UC Berkeley's law enforcement and UCPD affirm noncooperation with Federal Immigration Enforcement Agencies, unless legally required, and defines "cooperation" broadly to include assisting or facilitating enforcement. It calls for an annual review by the Office of Legal Affairs and Vice Chancellor for Administration on contacts with these agencies, along with annual trainings for university personnel on Sanctuary City protections and student rights. The ASUC also commits to transparency regarding agreements with enforcement agencies and urges UC Regents to maintain noncooperation policies system-wide.
