The ASUC formally reaffirms its support for equitable educational opportunity for all students and adopts an active advocate agenda to support international students. This action is in response to the Berkeley International Office's indefinite suspension of Course Credit CPT, which was prompted by a narrow interpretation from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and has severely impacted international students' access to professional development. The ASUC will also form a casework team and facilitate a campus-wide international students’ wellbeing survey to address these concerns.
No roll call was taken. Everyone recorded present when the Senate agreed is shown as not objecting.
