The Southeast Asian Community-Endorsed ASUC Office of Senator Tang aims to enhance visibility to the diverse Southeast Asian diasporic experience and address critical issues pertaining to disproportionate access to resources, opportunities, and support systems. The Southeast Asian community (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and peninsular Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, and Timor-Leste) makes up less than 10% of Berkeley’s student population. Rooted in community and cultural resilience, the Office of ASUC Senator Tang aim to amplify the histories and voices of those we serve.
