Nikita Jadhav

The Office of Senator Nikita Jadhav (OSNJ) is committed to developing infrastructure that allows every student to feel a sense of visibility and belonging, in order to fulfill the promise of Berkeley. OSNJ is committed to serving as a liaison between students to ensure that student voices meaningfully inform institutional progress. As the South Asian Caucus Endorsed Office and with nearly 15% of the student body identifying as South Asian, OSNJ is committed to responding directly to the diverse needs and experiences of the South Asian community. We will work closely with the South Asian Caucus and community stakeholders to strengthen representation, advocacy, and connection across campus. Our priorities across departments include 1) Mental health advocacy, 2) Student protection and belonging - particularly for immigrant and undocumented students, 3) South Asian community relations, and 4) Equitable academic and professional development.
