This resolution officially recognizes March 1st as the Disability Day of Mourning, a day to commemorate disabled individuals murdered by their caregivers. It directs ASUC officials to educate the campus community on disability justice issues, collaborate with student-centered disability organizations, and mandates the ASUC Senate to observe an annual moment of silence during the week of March 1st. The resolution also amends ASUC Bylaws 1407 and 1303 to institutionalize this commemoration for posterity.
