I support campus electrification. It aligns with our sustainability values and will increase efficiency. This will help Berkeley be seen as a leader, like UC Davis which is working to be a net-zero campus. We hope you support this bill.
It is essential for Berkeley to become a leader in environmental justice. This requires a just transition component, allowing people to learn about the energy process. The plant poses risks to worker safety. I urge you to vote yes on the ECO office resolution.
The ASUC ECO office has long fought for sustainability and electrification on campus. We encourage you to support the proposal, as this large project will affect students.
Our campus is powered by great ideas, but its energy infrastructure is not sustainable. It's important to support the campus electrification project. We need student support to understand its impact on paths to campus and sustainability. This is a long-standing project, and we need the Senate's help for a collaborative effort with other campus committees. I think the Senate would benefit from a student committee on this.
