Establishing a System of Public Campaign Financing for ASUC Elections

This resolution implements a system of public campaign financing for ASUC elections, allowing candidates to be reimbursed for 50% of eligible campaign expenses, up to $100 for Senate candidates and $250 for Executive candidates. This initiative aims to promote equity and accessibility in student elections by reducing financial barriers for all potential candidates, especially low-income and first-generation students. A new "Public Campaign Financing Fund" will be established in the General Budget, with a minimum annual allocation of $5,000 starting in the FY 2026-2027 budget year.
