In Support of Endorsing Proposition 50

The ASUC endorses California Proposition 50, which temporarily grants the California Legislature authority to adopt new congressional district maps for the 2026, 2028, and 2030 elections to counteract partisan gerrymandering. This action aims to protect and strengthen the representation of historically marginalized communities and students by ensuring more equitable representation and safeguarding against national policy shifts detrimental to student interests. The ASUC encourages its members to promote voter participation in support of Proposition 50.
