This resolution directs the ASUC President to deliver it to the UC Berkeley Chancellor, urging the university to maintain its Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) status and Thriving Initiative goals. It calls upon the UC Office of the President and UC Regents to pursue legal actions against federal funding cuts and seek alternative funding, such as state grants. The resolution also calls on the Division of Equity and Inclusion to continue supporting Thriving Initiatives and publish accountability reports, ensuring vital programs for historically marginalized students are sustained.
