This resolution encourages the University of California Student Association (UCSA) to initiate a new campaign, the Student Help & International Education Legal Defense (SHIELD) Fund, to address challenges faced by international students. The campaign will advocate for a legal defense fund to be established from the state budget to provide legal counsel for students facing issues like visa revocations. The ASUC also endorses UCSA's ongoing partnership with the ASUC External Affairs Vice President to support immigrant and international student resources.
