This resolution calls upon UC Berkeley administration, including Chancellor Rich Lyons and various Vice Chancellors and Deans, to take immediate steps to preserve South Asian Studies and language instruction. It directs the allocation of bridge funding, protection of lecturer and GSI staffing, and maintenance of student access to fellowships and research opportunities, following the termination of federal Title VI programs. The ASUC also commits to student-led advocacy and calls for transparency on funding loss and preservation plans.
