The ASUC formally reaffirms its support for educational equity and endorses the federal Keep STEM Talent Act of 2025 (H.R.2627/S.1233). This resolution calls on the External Affairs Vice President and the UC Office of the President to collaborate with other student governments to advocate for the Act, which aims to increase pathways for international students with advanced STEM degrees to remain and contribute to the U.S. workforce. It also urges Congress and the UC system to prioritize and support this legislation, and requests UC Berkeley to prepare an implementation plan and reaffirm its commitment to international students.
