SR 25/26-014:Recognize and Commemorate Pilipinx American Hxstory Month in October

If passed, the ASUC would officially recognize October as Pilipinx American Hxstory Month, standing in solidarity with the Filipino American National Historical Society and Filipino American communities. This resolution encourages the UC Berkeley campus community to engage in educational programs and sociocultural events to raise awareness of Filipino American contributions and the U.S. colonization of the Philippines, including UC Berkeley’s complicity. The ASUC and student organizations will collaborate with Filipino groups and academic departments to commemorate this month at UC Berkeley.
